Browsing the Net through your Cellphone

Using your cell for sharing photos, sending mails, or rather browsing the net is becoming increasingly common. Therefore, all of the connection providers are making good Internet offers. There are mainly two different ways in which mobile phone operators offer network usage. One is the EDGE or HDSPA and via 3G option and the other is over local wi-fi or the wireless internet usage option.

The connection options

As said above there are mainly two options, through which you may be able to connect your mobile. These are:

  1. Connecting your mobile through the mobile networks – There are various speeds available, with regards to the mobile networks. GPRS which is of 128kb/s is considered to be the slowest, and EDGE which is 236kb/s come s next in the line, with regards to higher speed. 3G has faster speed of up to 21 mb/s.
  2. Connecting your mobile through the wi-fi – If you cell is wi-fi enabled, you will simply be required to search for the connection settings, on your phone. You will be required to find the option which is going to help you detect the wireless network. After finding, you will be required to select it, which may then require you to provide the password. This is supposed to be quite a fast option for connection.

There are various web browsers available. However, the newest and a good version is the Opera Mobile or Opera Mini. If it’s an old mobile, you may face problems in getting the page loaded. But, you can still have the option to download a newer version of a good web browser, if you cannot afford to upgrade to the higher version. In some cases, the third party web browsers work more easily and better than the default browsers which are added on to the handset. You can thus, download and install the newer versions, in order to make your web browsing experience a better one.
